MARC: “Do you even remember how to put this thing on? OK, zip it up dude.” As they bike away to school on the first cool morning in what feels like forever. HARRISON (yelling back to Marc while they ride): “This feels good on my back!” “I’m wearing a sweatshirt! This feels niiiiice!” HARRISON to [...]

Our good friends the Nesbitts had a party for James, who turned three. Harrison helped them celebrate with blow-up light sabers – that other kids were HITTING EACH OTHER WITH! Cars and bikes that you CAN RIDE IN THE STREET! JUICE! And a TRAMPOLINE!!! Harrison was pretty much in heaven. The talented Bonnie Berry took [...]

Last week I got a cold followed by the flu+fever followed by the most sore throat in the history of the world followed by pink eye followed by a sinus infection. Last week I was supposed to be enjoying Harrison being home all week while his school was closed before the “school year” started. Last week [...]

Saturday night found us at Bonnie’s house two-year-old-heaven for her husband, Josh’s birthday. Bonnie’s friend Mollie is another oh-so-talented photographer who took some totally covert shots of us enjoying our evening. Thank you Bonnie for the great night and Mollie for the great photos. So, rather than a peak into our Bay Area-Tahoe-California-summer-extravaganza, I give you a look back on a chubby 1.5 year-old learning the finer points of present-opening cupcake eating skateboarding [...]

It took a trip halfway across the country to find kids that Harrison could accost without objection. If it isn’t obvious – we’re on vacation and because we are short on cash and other things that make a vacation really fun and indulgent I have allowed myself to not blog for three weeks without guilt. [...]

Harrison met a new girl today. “Lucy. Has brown hair. Went in tunnel witha me.” Apparently Harrison spent some time in the tunnel and on the turtle at the park with Lucy. Stroking her hair and talking in a partially-coherent 2-year old language – according to Chelsea. Chelsea also reported that while H was flirting [...]

As reported by Chelsea as she observed them sitting in the fun-room together yesterday. Finn: “I miss Daddy” Harrison: “He’s at work.” Finn: “I miss Daddy” Harrison: “He’s at work.” Finn: “I miss Daddy” Harrison: “He’s. At. Work.” Apparently there was a hint of frustration in H’s voice nearing the end of the exchange. This [...]
