as the sugar goes to his head

Click below to see a way-too-long video of Harrison eating a “posipcale” as slow as humanely possible and driving my mom insane in the process.

NOTE: Grandma is not a total clean-freak AND we are sitting outside so, the urgency with which she tends to Harrison’s drips is, in my opinion, brought on by the desire to keep the sugary mess off the kid himself not the furniture… my mom didn’t raise any boys, so, she never learned the art of not-caring-about-how-stunningly-messy they can get.

  1. I’m trying but old habits are hard to break.

  2. : )
mom – it is so funny! I don’t remember you being a clean-freak like that with us!

  3. I think it is not wanting the clothes to get messy and sticky. My parents used to tell the story that when we were kids Mum would take the four of us to town all dressed up and we would come home as clean as we left and if Dad took us we’d come home filthy because he didn’t care if we got messy. I guess I got it from my mother.

  4. so funny!!! yes, marc had to teach me to let go!

I love that he played into Grandma’s obsession with the drips, and cheered when he caught them. I also literally laughed out loud when he said it tasted “naughty” I love him!
