challenges

Today has resulted in three crying fits because Harrison wants to love-on Finny. A sitting-hug, a standing hug and an attempt to help Finny fasten the fireman’s vest have all been refused by Finn, sending Harrison into hysterics. Poor little dude. He just needs someone to love.

Good news is pre-school starts at the end of July* where there will be plenty of kids to stalk.

Listening: Beatles

* more on that when I have time to really write.

  1. Oh, tell Harrison that Tyler sympathizes with him and that they can love all over each other when we go camping if you guys make it. Tyler does this too and like Finn, it pisses most kids off…Tyler did it to little Isaiah when they visted last weekend I just haven’t had time to post anything about it yet. I’m sure it hurts Harrison’s feelings but hopefully he is not like Tyler who will then go, ‘well, if you won’t let me hug, kiss, squeeze, etc. you, I’m just going to push you down!’

  2. thank you Nicole!!
it does suck and yes – it totally pisses him off and makes him sad. And yes, he then can become rough with Finny – making it even less likely that Finn will accept his love in the future!
But, they are working out a system. We help H ask Finn if it’s OK and then H either gets to continue or stop in a calm way and he knows why – it’s kind of working.
