the power of chocolate
So, the kid – prior to his birthday which has re-focused all of his attention on more important things, like PRESENTS! CAKE! and MINE! MINE! MINE! - had been telling us that he needed to pee maybe once or twice a day. We’d rush to the kid-potty and he’d go. Standing up. Then I’d sing and dance around like a crazy person. And he’d get a chocolate chip.
This is our I-don’t-have-time-to-even-think-about-potty-training-yet-but-am-so-incredibly-thrilled-that-you-have-taken-it-upon-yourself approach to potty-training which was working really well, until we introduced him to chocolate cake which trumps a teeny-tiny chip. I’m hoping that the memories of “C.A.K.E.” will fade and we can get back to reality where a bite of bittersweet baking chocolate will move mountains.
We will see.

=) yes chocolate, is a good motivator. i know it works for me. i gave owen m&m’s to get him over the final hump of being 100% potty trained. i haven’t used it on dylan yet, although i’m sure it would work.
