AHHHH! I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME!

And my knee stayed in place (right there in the center of my leg where it’s supposed to – imagine that!). With the help of some magic tape (not the Japanese kind) but, still just as magical.

I was part of an amazing team of brand-newbies like me and a couple girls who invented this current iteration of the game back in 2002 – including Hydra – the woman who the Womans Flat Track Derby Association National Championship Trophy is named after - HELLO!

We played on Sunday afternoon, and the black team – The Hearts of Darkness – kind of killed it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sport and the amazing ladies that I get to hang with, learn from, push around and get pushed by. Next month – it’s me and the PINK TEAM… a whole new group of rad ladies. Woohoo!

hey ky – I just watched that video… it seems MUCH faster and cooler than it does on that video!

i was WAAAAY tired. But, still grand-slam is pretty cool… it was all my team – making it easy!
