learning from elizabeth
Elizabeth taught the boys a lot. But, I thought I’d try to remember and record some of the best stuff.
Here’s a good one.
Patience. Not only the idea of it, but, she taught them to fold their arms, be quiet and watch. This is most often used at snack time while she is preparing food and they are STARVING TO DEATH!! Seeing Harrison go from whiny-baby to standing straight upright with arms crossed while silently watching you work is one of the coolest things I have ever experienced as a parent.
Listening: Beach House (a new album – THANK GOODNESS!)

That must be really something to see. She’s a treasure.
I second what your mom says! That would be amazing to see. I could teach the kids in Scotland to do it then they may not all whine!
