sad
After fourteen months of devoted service, our Elizabeth is leaving us.
She is headed back to Dallas and we are incredibly sad to have to let her go. She has helped us raise Harrison and Finn for over a year.
We feel incredibly lucky to have had her for as long as we have and she will be missed. The plan is to have her finish out the rest of December until we head to California and then start with a new nanny for the nanny-share in early January.
Hence the reason the posts have been sparse… well, that and the fact that I can barely drag myself around the house after the last few derby practices. I literally need my arm to help hoist my legs over the baby-gate.
Marc came and brought the kid on Sunday to watch. H lasted about 10 minutes before throwing a fit because he couldn’t run around with all the ladies. I was proud of him for making it that long. Marc managed to take some photos of me and some of the girls, but, they are currently being held hostage on his phone.
I’m still loving it. And still don’t have a name…Marc came up with Lady Die (which I love, but, is taken)… so creative types out there - let’s hear your suggestions!

Elizabeth, we are all going to miss you. You have been wonderful with Harrison and Finn all this time. Good luck in all your new adventures.
Skeeze Puff!
Elizabeth, you’re supposed to skate with us!
Good luck in the new search - it sounds like this person has very high standards to live up to. It will be interesting to see how the boys adjust to someone new at this age.
You’re moving to California??? Before we got to have lunch? Boo.
Hmmmm. Let’s see…
How about:
-Skatin’ Back to Cali
-Sweet Thunder (I had a pink Huffy, Sweet Thunder bike when I was a kid and have always thought that was such a badass name)
-Sassy Baxter
-Bonne Fire
-Malibu Macabre
It’s late…more tomorrow. Thanks for the link love.
oh no no! just going to CA for a few weeks for xmas!

and we can do lunch before and/or after!
I like where you’re going with Bonne Fire… could be a play on “bonafide”. I like the names that are real words or phrases then made into a girl’s name:
Evilyne Tensions
Dabella DaBall
Sweet Hurt
Olivia Shootin’ John
