there’s no place like home…

Our sweet neighbor Bill, a professor here in town who walks around his yard smoking a pipe, just knocked on the door to tell us that he noticed that “the kids” weren’t at our house today and that a big storm was 50 miles away and moving rapidly towards us, so, we might want to go pick H up as soon as possible. Apparently the storm touched down in tornado form earlier today. Even as I’m writing this the air got thicker and the sky darkened. Cue the ominous music. So, Marc took Bill’s advice and went early to get the kid. At least this way we will all land in OZ together.

I’m going to go look for my ruby slippers and poor myself a glass of wine. Wish us luck.
