what a great weekend!
Joe, Heidi and Gus arrived Saturday afternoon and because we already had plans to stay in to make dinner which did not include tequila we bee lined it down to Guero’s for a quick margarita. The only real way to welcome out-of-town guests to Austin is with BBQ or margaritas – there is no choice – we are bound by duty.

It was really great to catch up with Joe and Heidi and to meet Gus for the first time. They are great friends of ours whom we haven’t seen in over 6 years. With all of the laughing and easy conversation it truly was like no time had passed – a sign of a great friendship… that or just really good cocktails… hard to tell.
This weekend H also started to participate in our conversations and it is SO FREAKING CUTE! If anybody at the table laughs he will join in. And then he gets on a roll and will laugh at anything. He is all smiles with new people and it is so awesome.
He is so much fun right now! He is the antithesis of birth control – so watch out! That means you Jeff – I can not be held responsible if Kylie’s desire to bear children increases after she visits this weekend.

I’m desperate to get to Austin. These meetings in Dallas, while a good excuse for a trip to TX, are so in my way to H. Tell him I will be there soon.
