  1. That box is just his size. Kids would rather play with and in boxes more than any toy.

  2. Aimee, is that a football that I see in that picture with Harrison? I am surprised by you :)

  3. HA! It is!
Shoot – we are totally busted!!
    OK…
Marc went to Target to run errands and I asked him to get some balls for H – different sizes, non-specific sport, simple – balls because we didn’t have any. Everything they had for babies was totally lame and commercialized (logos, and characters on them) but, he found a fairly simple football.

Now, we are not into “sports” especially watching or following teams on TV & Marc never really played team sports past the age of about 10. But, I played competitive soccer and softball until college and it was great for me.

While we will not really push our kid to play any sport in particular – we certainly won’t dissuade him either. We are open-minded when it comes to all things for H… and I suppose that includes football. Although, Marc and I will have more in common with the band-geeks than we do the football players and cheerleaders, if H does end up as the star-quarterback we will just have to hide our dark, musical pasts.

  4. Oh yeah, we are on the same page. Everyone just assumes that because I am an athlete (and I consider runners geeky athletes) I am going to push Tyler into sports and it will be quite the opposite. I totally agree with your outlook on it. I will have a hard time not discouraging Tyler from playing football and I will by no means encourage it, but if he shows a genuine interest then I will just have to suck it up and allow him to experience it. I too gained a lot through most of the sports I played. Now, a girl and cheerleading…I just might have to put my foot down on that one!
