an appalling admission
After re-reading my post last week, it occurred to me that it may have sounded a little boastful or just downright braggy. But, that was in no way my intention. It started out as more like a state of the union or a what-we’ve-been-up-to kind of thing. But, instead turned out to be an appalling admission of our yuppie-plus-one-ness. The other day, Marc found himself driving his brand new VW SUV while talking on his iPhone, after shopping for a superfluous piece of furniture and about had a coronary. The only thing missing was a trunk full of crap from Bed, Bath & Beyond and Maroon 5 blaring on the stereo and we’d be all set for our journey to suburban Hell. Luckily the kid’s taste in music (Blood On The Wall is still his lullaby of choice - thank God) is saving us from that horribly painful fate.
Listening: The Felice Brothers (my new favorite live band - thanks Albert for finding the show in MARFA!)

i got the felice brothers too. as much as i still love them, they are way better live. i love that saint stepehen end song so much! and whiskey in my whiskey. thats my favorite new xmas carol.
tari - totally agree… they are my new favorite LIVE band! And how can you not love a song with lyrics like I’ll put some whiskey into my whiskey!
I am totally bummed because I think we missed them at Outside Lands!
