almost there
written from Marc’s iPhone while driving – not posted until now, because shortly after finishing I lost the connection – when you get to the string of towns that Marfa is a part of (towns like Valentine, population 217) apparently connectivity is not a priority.
So, we made it to El Paso, despite being late to the airport… But, that’s nothing new for us. The kid took an hour nap perfectly timed for our leaving the house. We were able to pack everything we need for the boy into 1 suitcase – including his jumpy-seat! The flight was uneventful which is the goal when traveling with a baby in tow. We got the rental car and burgers for the road and the kid promptly fell asleep for TWO! of the 2 1/2 hours the drive took.
So far it has been the most perfect trip in the history of all travel… Until we realized we forgot our cameras. Both of them. Marfa may be the most photographable place in all of Texas and we forgot our cameras.
