how he came into this world

With induction looming on the horizon I invested in a downloadable book on acupressure to induce naturally. This was Thursday. Being the skeptics we are Marc and I skimmed it but, didn’t even really try anything until Friday. The book suggested doing each of the 6 or so pressure points for a few minutes each, [...]

recipes of the round and hungry: 2

*BecauseĀ  I am so severely late in an update - here is a pre-written post - “recipe #2″ (because I assumed I’d be waiting for the little man to show up all week.) This weekend I intend to write the story of Harrison’s birth as well as our first night home - which was INSANE!

waiting: day 6

The last swelling post was a bit of exaggeration - for comedic effect - and because of that deviation from the absolute truth I have been punished. While last time, I felt as though my body was swelling to horror movie proportions - now, it actually is. It’s mainly focused in the hands, elbows and [...]

recipes of the round and hungry: 1

Thinking back over the past months I realized that I have developed some fantastic new recipes which need to be documented for all eternity. Some came and were short lived; while others have stood the test of pregnant-time. Here is a recent favorite.
Preg-Oatmeal
+/- 1/2 cup Raw Whole Rolled Oats
+/- 1/8 cup Wheatgerm
+/- 1/8 cup Chopped [...]

haters

I just tried to leave a comment on John & Kara’s blog and it was rejected for offensive language:

What’s up with that - John?
And no, still no baby news.

waiting: day 1

We went to see our doc on Friday with eager anticipation. We left feeling defeated, all of our plans for a perfectly on-time baby vanished while she smiled back at us, with a “oh you are not having this baby any time soon.”
I was grumpy pissed for about an hour, then we got back home [...]
