waiting: day 6

The last swelling post was a bit of exaggeration – for comedic effect – and because of that deviation from the absolute truth I have been punished. While last time, I felt as though my body was swelling to horror movie proportions – now, it actually is. It’s mainly focused in the hands, elbows and a bit in the ankles. But, my hands are white (and not just my normal translucent white – no, bright-white; stretched-to-the-max-white) with dark red creases as if to accentuate the sausage-linkness. They are really sore – apparently it’s like arthritis – fluid in the joints. The kid is already causing premature aging. Yeah – awesome.

Are you happy now, Aimee? This is what you get for trying to be funny. The universe doesn’t like liars.

And, nope – still no progress. But, it’s getting hot – maybe the Texas humidity will steam him out.

Any speculation by the doctor on the size of the little hell raiser?
Meditate, think small body, comfortable sleep, skinny finges(yours),
this will soon be a fading, distant memory. Yeh! The brain has wonderful powers of “delete.”

  4. she actually thought that he wasn’t that big last time we went in… she was guessing high 6 – low 7. but, marc asked her what her success rate of guessing baby weights was – apparently she’s either dead-on or dead-wrong. so… we’ll see.

Yes, the doctor said you would be about 6lbs and you ended up being 7lb 11oz. So don’t believe the doctors. All will be well. Mom

  6. us too, the dr. said owen would be 6 to 7lbs and he was 7lb 9oz. however, the nurses were exactly right with the size and the time i’d give birth.

  7. Same here. They said barely 6lbs for Tyler and he was 7lb 1 oz. Make friends with your nurses (and request a new one if you don’t like the one you have) – they are the important ones!
