nesting: part 4
It is pretty funny how the nesting instinct, however subtle, is ingrained in us. Even though the kid’s room is far from done, the work that we have completed makes me feel a ton better. Even the not-so-newly painted bathroom makes me feel more ready. Maybe it’s our way of ignoring the fact that our lives are about to change so drastically. Coating a wall with paint and plugging in a lamp are ways that we can feel in control of something.

nice lamp! i found it helpful to have owen’s lamp on a dimmer switch for those midnight feedings. to this day i use it as a night light. i leave it on the lowest setting for him.
