a few of my favorite things
This is my favorite drink of the moment – Dry Soda. I don’t drink regular sodas and only have a bit of OJ in the morning – and anybody who thinks you can drink water-only with dinner has either spent too much time in prison, or would do well there.
Dim Sum – one of my favorite foods of all time. It fits many of my criteria for good food. It’s beautiful, promotes sharing, is savory (yes, that’s right – my taste buds have officially come back – I no longer care as much for dessert! Thank goodness – I was imagining my post-kid body never being able to recover from this new found sweet-tooth.). We love dim sum for Sunday brunch – piling into the restaurant with all of the other Church of Dim Sum devotees.
I’ve mentioned this before… but, the Michelada at El Chile saved me from my NA-Beer-Blues.
Channa Masala. All I have to say is if this kid doesn’t like spicy food he’s in for trouble – that’s the only way we know how to eat.
My two favorite Bakersfield exports: my husband and Bolthouse Farms Vanilla Soy Chai drink. We get this at HEB and Wholefoods. I love it to curb any hunger pains through the day – rather than snacking on junk. Thanks Brian for introducing us to this magical elixir.
Listening: The Magnetic Fields (69 Love Songs was the soundtrack to Marc and I falling in love… ahhh)
