pregnancy myth debunking #1
Pregnancy “GLOW”
uh huh…sure. Never really noticed it, I figured it was because I’ve been pregnant in winter and I haven’t gotten any sun to turn that gorgeous glow on. But, I am now officially glowing! In the last week it just got turned on!
“The main external effect on women of the increased levels of estrogen during a pregnancy is the appearance of rashes or red blotches on the skin. It is this effect that is often described as the ‘glow’ of pregnancy.”
Yep, I’m “glowing”… in my armpits.

Hi Amy - (I might have your name spelled wrong) I just wanted to drop you a line and say it was a pleasure mtg you this weekend. Steph shared your blog a while back and I was thrilled to know that there are other pregnant gals out there that are still figuring this whole thing out. I love the fact that you too hate all things cutesy for the kiddo’s room and had not signed up for classes. We finally did two weeks ago that was only because our doc told my husband he would be a schmuck if he did not go. In fact, seriously I think I just realized yesterday I was pregnant. It had not hit and then all of a sudden I am wondering what happened these last seven months. I now feel like i have a lot of stuff to take care of.
Anyway, let’s keep in touch. Next time over wine hopefully!
April
just wait for skin tags =)
April! Hi there. Yes… well, with our due dates so close, we should keep in touch - somebody to commiserate with literally day by day. We took our first class last night… post coming this morning. Great idea - a glass of wine with screaming babies in the background! Can’t wait.
kara - thanks for the warning, but, i prefer to be in denial until these things actually happen!
