We’re at 16 weeks now and had a check-up yesterday. All is well (we heard the heartbeat and it is “perfect”), except I was scolded for not putting on any weight. This is thanks in part to a stomach bug that floored me last week – saltines and Gatorade for four days straight until two bowls of miso soup from Uchi cured me – and partly because I am really just always in the mood for fruit, Marc’s cauliflower soup and fresh tortillas (no cravings for buckets of ice cream and pans of brownies… yet). Anyway, I was threatened with a nutritionist unless I put on weight in the next four weeks. So, I have re-discovered a treasure that has long since been banished from the diet. I’m really happy it’s back.
